Agoura Fine Furnishings was a furniture store located in Los Angeles, CA, owned by Mike Barnes and his wife.

History[]

At some point, Mike Barnes got a job as a furniture mover after being banned from karate. There, he met his future father in law, the owner of the store, who taught him how to use his hands for something rather than fighting, which was mostly sawing off equipment or moving them. He gave Mike the job as an apprentice and teaching him the tools of trade. Barnes married the owner's daughter and they became the co-owners of Agoura Fine Furnishings together.

Season 5[]

Through a turn of events, Mike Barnes reunited with his former rival, Daniel LaRusso after many years. Daniel suspected him of being one of Terry Silver's recruits, only to learn that Barnes wasn't working for the enemy. He was just making a furniture deal over the phone. After Daniel finds out that Barnes is now a furniture store owner, the two apologized for the past and made up. Barnes told him how he turned his life around following his defeat in 1985. Barnes also told Daniel that he had somewhat knew his auto dealership due to the commercials he saw. As Daniel and Barnes playfully spar, Chozen, believing that Barnes is working with Silver, began to attack him only for Daniel to break it up. After this, the three former rivals sat to patch things up, as Chozen expressed interest in buying a blue sofa worth $1,200. Barnes pretended to cut the deal, only to raise the price to $2,000 due to Chozen attacking his employees in a misunderstanding. Nevertheless, Chozen buys the sofa. Silver, having found out that Daniel had made amends with Barnes, decided to burn down the furniture store down to the ground. However, Barnes later stole a painting from Silver for compensation so he could rebuild his store.
