Chadwick Steven McQueen (born December 28, 1960-September 11, 2024) was an American actor, film producer, martial artist and race car driver. He plays Dutch in the films The Karate Kid and The Karate Kid Part II.
Biography[]
McQueen was born in Los Angeles, California to Steve McQueen and Neile Adams. He started riding dirt bikes at the age of 9 and eventually moved on auto racing. He started a racing company called McQueen Racing LLC. in 2010. He was given an offer to reprise his role as Dutch in Cobra Kai but he refused wanting to focus on his business. The script was written so that Dutch is in jail to explain his absence.
Ahead of Season 6, McQueen expressed interest in reprising his role as Dutch, so the show's executive producer Jon Hurwitz visited him, and they reached an agreement, and a scene for Dutch was written into an episode. However, due to his injuries, McQueen was never able to actually take part in the filming of the scenes.[1]

McQueen died on September 11, 2024 from complications from a fall he suffered in 2020 that he never recovered from.
