Doyona International is the primary importer of Japanese cars to the United States, and supports numerous dealerships, including LaRusso Auto in California.

Business With LaRusso Auto[]

It can be presumed that Doyona was partnered with LaRusso Auto Group when the dealership opened in 2002, or may have gained the contract some time afterwards when LaRusso's business reputation spread.

After a steep decline in sales after the karate war at West Valley High School, Doyona pulled out of its deal. The upper management of Doyona had come to realize that LaRusso Auto was connected to the fight. While such an event normally would not make such scandal beyond the local press, Tom Cole had orchestrated a conspiracy to connect LaRusso Auto to the bad publicity as much as possible in an attempt to convince Doyona that his dealership was a more focused and stable distributorship. Combined with the falling sales, Doyona had good reason to believe the writing was on the wall for LaRusso Auto's eventual bankruptcy.

Daniel traveled to Japan, where he met personally with Doyona's management, headed by Jirou Tanaka, the head of international sales.[1] The executives decided to stand on their decision to terminate their relationship with LaRusso Auto. Daniel later was reunited with Kumiko, who also introduced him to Yuna, the little girl whom he had saved from the bell tower during the typhoon. Yuna was now a senior executive at Doyona, and paid Daniel back for saving her life by offering LaRusso Auto a lifetime contract.
