The Junior Prom is an event held yearly by West Valley High School. The latest notable prom took place in May of 2019. The event took place during the Season 4 episode, Party Time at a ballroom venue.
1984 Junior Prom[]
In The Fall, Johnny tells Miguel that he'll be able to patch things up with Sam following the events of the junior prom in Party Time, which prompted Johnny to mention that his junior prom was an absolute shit-show compared to Miguel's.
2019 Junior Prom[]
The theme that year for Junior Prom was Hollywood Nights.[1] Students signed up for junior prom by purchasing tickets. The prom appeared to be held at a local ballroom venue. Many couples had shown up to attend the prom, except Eli. Yasmine had flown in from Sydney, Australia to attend the prom with Demetri. Robby and Tory had arrived at prom in style, shocking Miguel and Sam, as they had come to get on their nerves. Robby and Tory had stolen the show with their dance moves to The Weeknd's "In Your Eyes."
Just before the slow dance, Stingray had arrived to the school to ask Bert if he could rejoin Cobra Kai. Bert could not help him with that because he was in Eagle Fang. Stingray agreed to bring the prom afterparty to his place. During the slow dance, Tory complimented Robby on his dancing skills. Robby said he learned from his mom while Tory said she was self-taught. After seeing that all her peers have their whole future ahead of them, Tory admitted that if she just wins the All Valley Tournament, she'll know she's best at something. She thought it was stupid, although Robby reassured her that it wasn't.
Later, she leaned her head on his shoulder asked him if Miguel and Sam were still watching them. Robby said that he doesn't care, and Tory agreed with him.
Afterparty[]
Sometime later, Stingray had successfully brought the after-prom party to his house. His neighbor, Greg, had unplugged the music and told the teens to go home or else they would get arrested for underage drinking. As he threatened to call the police, Stingray smashed Greg's phone and knocked him out.
Later, a fight had been ensued between Sam and Tory. Miguel attempted to stop the fight by dragging Tory away from Sam. Robby believed that Miguel was trying to attack Tory and had pulled him off of her. Then Miguel and Sam were fighting Robby and Tory. Robby had pushed Miguel towards the pool, which had also sent Sam and Tory into the pool. Stingray had cannonballed into the pool. Tory asked Robby to help her up and she pulled him into the pool and they were both laughing, and overall they enjoyed their night together. Miguel and Sam had left Stingray's house with their night ruined. In a Ferrari that their sensei had given them, Robby and Tory had shared their first kiss. It has been further implied that they may have had sex.

Notes and Trivia[]
- Senior prom was mentioned in The Karate Kid Part II, though the event was not shown.
- Robby and Tory's dance had a small reference to The Karate Kid Part II, as Robby had dipped Tory similar to Daniel dipping Kumiko.
- Stingray shouting "Party Time!" is a nod to both the episode's title and a quote in The Karate Kid Part III.
- Although Robby was expelled from West Valley High School after the events of the school fight, Robby was able to attend the prom with Tory.
- Johnny's junior prom would take place in most likely in 1984 as Johnny was a junior from 1983-1984 and a senior from 1984-1985, during the events of The Karate Kid. This means that he would have gone with Ali to prom has they had not broken up yet.
- In prom tradition, a boy is the one who usually asks the girl out to prom. But in Robby and Tory's case, it was the other way around.
- Demetri wore a Pac-Man tux, while referencing Yasmine as Jessica Rabbit from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit."
