This article is about the TV series character. You may be looking for his father, who was a character in the films.

Louie LaRusso, Jr. (frequently called "Louie") is the cousin of Daniel LaRusso and the son of Louis LaRusso, Senior.

He is a supporting character and minor antagonist in the first season of the TV series Cobra Kai. He later returns as a supporting character in season 3. He is played by Bret Ernst.

Biography

Season 1

Louie is not that bright, so Daniel gave him a job opportunity, for him to move out to Los Angeles from New Jersey and work at his dealership. Louie means well and loves his family dearly, but he also is prone to playing rude pranks with newcomer Robby Keene being his main target and is also very foolish, prone to acting before thinking. This is shown when he has some biker friends destroy Johnny's car by lighting it on fire, which further strains the already rough relationship between Daniel and Johnny, and forces Daniel to give Johnny a new car to replace the one Louie destroyed. The following day Daniel implies Louie has been fired by saying Louie is never allowed to step foot in the dealership ever again.

Season 2

While Louie does not appear he isn't mentioned, it is evident he is still fired.

Season 3

He was rehired after being the first one at the door when Sam got hurt. He shows Daniel and Amanda that a 93' car was stolen and missing from the dealership, this made Amanda and Daniel realise that Robby took it after fleeing the school and going on the run with it since he was the only employee with the door code. When Tom Cole and Anoush (who quit LaRusso Auto and began working for Tom Cole late season 2) come to LaRusso Auto, Anoush tells Louie that Tom convinced Doyona International to cut it's ties with the LaRusso Auto Group and is planning on buying the struggling LaRusso Auto. Louie then tells Daniel and Amanda who Daniel goes to Okinawa to save it and Yuna (a child that Daniel saved in his younger days) saves the dealership in return and Tom Cole's plan fails and his employees go work for Daniel at LaRusso Auto Group including Anoush.

One day, he is shown supposedly selling a car to a customer, with Amanda remarking that Louie is a good salesman. Later, when the employees of LaRusso Auto run away screaming due to there being a snake (planted by John Kreese), Anoush (Who rejoined LaRusso Auto earlier in the season) jumps into Louie's arm who shows him no sympathy at first, but then runs in fear.

Personality

Louie is an unintelligent and immature bully that tends to slack off, make foolish decisions and play pranks rather than do his work. When Robby starts working at LaRusso Auto Group, Louie plays a few pranks on him, such as tricking Robby into believing that moving the Porsche would impress Daniel and tricking him into taking a folder full of magazines to Daniel's house, though the former got him in trouble.

He is known for taking actions without thinking. Two examples of this are when he cooperates with a group of bikers into turning the LaRusso Auto Group into a motorcycle company, as well as destroys Johnny's car with a group of bikers (possibly the same bikers he cooperated with), though the former angers Daniel and Amanda, while the latter results in him being fired by Daniel.

When Louie is rehired in season 3, he is shown to be more responsible, with Amanda remarking that he is a good salesman. However, his personality is still the same.
