Mr. Lopez is the principal of West Valley High School during the events of Cobra Kai Season 2 and Season 3.

Season 2[]
He is only shown in the Season 2 finale episode No Mercy when he is interviewing Stingray over his application to become a security guard and asks about his security guard experience. He tries to call for the security when an unknown Miyagi-Do student is thrown across his office door, but Stingray tells him that he can handle the situation and people are surprised. He sees Stingray stop some Miyagi-Do students and help out Mikey after being repeatedly punched, and also sees him exchange a high-five with Hawk.
Season 3[]
Lopez appears in the meeting with the parents about their concerns. He explains that Stingray had been given a restraining order to stay away from the school and its students and not allowed to be near a minor. He expelled Tory from West Valley High for stabbing Sam in the arm, which left her with scars on it and extreme PTSD and panic attacks. He also expelled Robby for kicking Miguel off the balcony, which left him paralyzed in his legs and also that police were looking for the former to send to juvenile hall.
After Miguel learns how to walk again, he organizes a welcome back praise for Miguel when he returns to school.
Principal Lopez is not seen after this, though he still is running as Principal in West Valley High School.
