Taro

Taro is the quaternary antagonist of The Karate Kid Part II. He is portrayed by Marc Hayashi.

He is another one of Chozen's friends, who helps the latter wreak havoc, and bully Daniel.

Biography[]

The Karate Kid Part II[]

Toshio and Taro are residents of Tomi Village in Okinawa, and the best friends of Chozen Toguchi, as well as his minions. They also took orders from Chozen's uncle, Sato Toguchi. They both knew martial arts, but weren't nearly as skilled as their friend and boss Chozen.

In 1985, when Sato's old friend turned enemy Mr. Miyagi and his pupil Daniel Larusso arrived, they joined their boss Chozen to welcome them and then drive them to where Sato was. Later, they were both seen stealing from villagers (by selling fake stuff) along with Chozen, but they were exposed by Daniel Larusso, making him their enemy. Chozen's honor was insulted, so he and his two friends started to harass Daniel on multiple instances. They also harassed Kumiko, Daniel's love interest and niece of Yukie, Miyagi's and Sato's old love interest. One day, Chozen, Toshio and Taro went into a dance club where Daniel and Kumiko where and started a fight. Daniel was beaten by Chozen, but fought back, easily defeating both Toshi and Taro. He and Kumiko then left the club. That same night, under order's from Sato, the three attacked Miyagi's dojo and vandalized it with spears. They also gave Daniel a brutal beating and taunted him, calling him and his sensei cowards. However, Miyagi arrived in time and made short work of them, forcing them to leave. The next day, they were once again along with Chozen when Sato ordered the destruction of the village in order to force Miyagi to fight him. After a typhoon hit, the village the duo wasn't seen again, so it is unknown what happened to them.
